Proxy: All You Need to Know

Today, we will be discussing proxies.

Are you concerned about security? Do you want to speed up downloads? You are unable to connect to certain websites because your company uses a proxies cheap. Or maybe you simply want to learn.

This guide is for you if you identify with any of these questions.

What is a proxy server?

Proxy servers act as a buffer between your computer’s computer and the Internet resources that you access. The proxy receives your request first and then transmits it to you.

What’s an anonymous proxy server?

Anonymous proxy servers conceal your IP address, and prevent you from being unauthorized to access your computer via the Internet. They don’t give out your IP address to anyone and hide all information about you and what interests you are reading. They don’t let anyone know you are surfing via a proxy server. Anonym proxy servers can be used to access all types of Web-services such as Web-Mail (MSN Hot Mail and Yahoo mail), web-chat rooms and FTP archives.

Why do I need proxy servers?

1) Increased transfer speed. Proxy servers store files most frequently requested by Internet users in a special database called “cache”. Proxy servers can increase your Internet connection speed. Proxy servers may have information in their cache that you already need at the time of your request. This makes it possible for them to immediately deliver the requested information.

2) Privacy and security. Anonymous proxy servers hide your IP address, protecting you from any potential vulnerabilities.

3. Sometimes, you might encounter difficulties while accessing a web server because the server administrator has restricted access to your IP or from a wide range of IPs (e.g., limiting access from certain countries or geographic regions). You can access these pages by using an anonymous proxy server.

What are the types of public proxy servers?

1) Transparent – HTTP proxy server shows all. Only for speed improvements in transfer speeds

2) Anonymous – HTTP proxy server does not send any variables with your IP to host. However, it does send variables that indicate that you are using proxy.

3) High anonymity – HTTP proxy servers don’t send any variables to indicate that they are proxy servers to host.

Can I surf open proxy sites?

According to my knowledge, yes. Open proxies are not supported because their owners might not have intended them to be made available to the public. The machine administrator implicitly consents to the public using the service by running it on a machine that is accessible to the public. Proxy servers are just like web servers, FTP servers, and other net services: as long as it is running and accepting connections it is fair game. The internet is a public network

Are there any dangerous proxy?

Yes.
First, servers are available for government agencies (FBI/CIA, NASA, etc.). and other organizations that work closely with federal/state and corporate law enforcement.
The second is hackers.
Don’t believe proxy checkers, even paid ones, that they “filter all dangerous proxies”. It’s impossible. It is impossible to tell if the proxy you use is being monitored.

How do I get a proxy?

There are several ways to get them. The fastest is to Google “proxy list”, where you’ll find daily updated proxy lists. You don’t need to look too hard. There are also programs that can do the job.
